The American Toni Frissell was a prolific photographer who started out taking pictures for the fashion magazine Vogue in 1931, but was also known for her diverse portfolio that included heart-felt images from World War II as well as portraits of woman and children from all walks of life. This stunning photograph of a woman wearing a long white gown while floating in water, is one of her signature works.
