Village Wine Press

from 75€

France, circa 1910
by A. Pinchaud

Steeped in the tradition of making great wine for generations, many families in the tiny villages of Provence, a region in southeastern France, tilled small plots of land that allowed them to produce their own personal vintages. In this image, taken by the French photographer A. Pinchaud, a wine press owned by the town circulates through the streets during grape harvest season to separate the vin de press from the marc for all of the wine making families in the community.
