The Gorner Glacier occupies the left portion of the image and the peaks of Nordend, Dufourspitze (4688m), Lyskamm, Castor, Pollux, Breithorn, Mont Cervin, Matterhorn (4482m), Dent Blanche, Gabelhorn, Thirthorn, Rothhorn, Schallhorn, Weifshorn (4512m) and Bruneckhorn can be seen from left to right.
