Attributed to Francis Chit

The details surrounding this photograph of an exquisite Bangkok temple are unclear. It is believed that the Tai photographer Francis Chit gave the title “View in [sic] temple grounds of Wat Cheng” to a similar photograph of this building. Given that there appears to be no historical record of a Wat-Cheng however, it is possible that the name is just a diferent spelling for the term “Wat-Cheen”, which is the appellation given to a Chinese Temple of the Buddist or Taoist faith.
