Taj Mahal From the River
from 75€
India, circa 1858
by Dr. John Murray
Located in the city of Agra, this image shows the Taj Mahal reflecting off the still waters of the Yamuna river. Taken by the former surgeon turned photographer John Murray, the photographer himself can be seen hidden in the shadows on the left side of the image (presumably he set up the shot and then had one of his assistants expose the glass plate negative).
