Princess Miguel de Braganza
from 69€
New York, circa 1910
Unknown photographer
The House of Braganza was the dynasty that ruled the Kingdom of Portugal from 1640 until the revolution of 1910. The Princess of Braganza was born Anita Stewart, a New York socialite, but became Princess when she married, at the behest of her mother, Miguel de Braganza in 1909. It is unknown if this lovely standing portrait of the Princess was taken before or after her marriage, but it provides a wonderful view into the nature of her character.
