Euston Station
from 170€
United Kingdom, 1895
by James Valentine & Son
Euston Station was originally constructed in 1837; the dawn of the time when powerful railroad companies would call upon eminent architects to create their iron cathedrals in the center of capital cities. Tis wonderfully graphic image, taken by the Scottish frm of James Valentine & Son in 1895, shows the station at the height of its architectural splendor and provides a historical record of a structure that was sadly demolished in the early 1960s because it was deemed “inadequate”.
