A wonderful photograph of Paris at the turn of the century. Taken by the French photographer Charles Delius, this image of barrels of wine being transported to the restaurants and cafés of the capital is replete with remarkable details. For example, the street sign in the background reads quai de la Mégisserie and allows us to pinpoint the exact location of this scene as the intersection of the quay and Pont Neuf.
