from 95€
Switzerland, circa 1855
by Friedrich Von Martens
The German photographer Friedrich von Martens invented, in 1844, one of the first panoramic cameras and was known as a pioneer in the field. This expansive shot of the Aletsch Glacier in Southern Switzerland was created by combining two of von Marten’s panoramic shots and shows a spectacular view that only one or two people in the world were capable of producing.
